  • What areas in the UK do you take properties on?
    MILHUB takes properties on within London, Reading & Manchester
  • Do you charge fees for your HUB Partner service?
    NO. You will not be charged any fees for our service.
  • What specifications will my property need to be assessed by MILHUB?
    We are open to considering all properties, but ideally flats and houses that have a minimum of 2 bedrooms and 1 reception room. As for development sites, we assess this on a case by case basis and would need to arrange a site visit beforehand.
  • As a HUB Partner, will I be paid a deposit?"
    As we will not be occupying the property, we will pay you an upfront fee once we have reached an agreement. The fee will typically amount to the first week’s rent and we will obtain the deposit from our HUB Members (Tenants). We will hold and protect any deposit taken using our registered deposit protection scheme.
  • How quickly can you take a property on?
    Once we have had the chance to meet you in person and visit the property, we send a formal proposal within 24 hours of the viewing taking place.
  • Does the property need to be furnished?
    Yes. Partners are required to supply a property that is furnished. Our general requirements are as follows: Bedrooms Double Beds w/ mattress Chest of drawers Wardrobes Desk (where possible) Kitchens Washing machine Oven Cooker Fridge/Freezer Microwave
  • How do you guarantee rents?
    Primarily, we guarantee our rents with actual sums of capital generated by MILHUB. If the property is vacant or the tenant fails to pay the rent, you still get paid on time. We do not use any insurance products.
  • How and when do I receive rent payments?
    We will set up a monthly standing order direct to your bank account for the agreed rent. We pay your rent on the same day each month for the duration of our contract regardless of any void periods we incur. You can have the peace of mind that there is no uncertainty as to whether you will receive your rent.
  • Are HUB Members required to pay a deposit?
    Yes, all members are required to pay a deposit before securing the property. The deposit will equate from 1 to 6 weeks’ rent. All of our tenants’ deposits are fully protected with a Tenant Deposits Scheme. Upon the end of your tenancy, your deposit will be returned in full should you pass are normal wear and tear inspection. Any damage found or cleaning of the property will be deducted from the refunded amount.
  • Will the bills be inclusive with my rent?
    Yes. Our monthly rent includes bills, utilities, regular cleaning, community events, access to local discounts to our network of partner services.
  • What is your minimum contract length?
    Our tenancies are flexible and cater to our members' needs. Our minimum tenancy length is 3 months long.
  • Who does your Member Pool consist of?
    As we strive to create a like-minded community amongst all members, we have a tailored demographic consisting of students and professionals. However, we try in all instances to avoid cross-matching the tenant types. During our process of matching you with the right members, you are able to fill out forms or have a chat with our membership team so we can determine your interests.
  • Are you able to accept couples as joint members?
    Yes. We have favourable options for couples to have joint-tenancy, although prices will differ.
  • How are maintenance issues dealt with?
    We will attend to any issues in the property within 48 hours (note: the actual repair or works needed may take longer). Please tell us as soon as you think there are issues with anything in the property, no matter how big or small, and we will organise the repairs. If you or another member breaks something in the property, the person breaking the item will be liable for the costs.
  • Are the rooms furnished and if so, what should I expect?"
    All rooms will have a bed frame with a mattress, a mattress protector, at least one storage facility and a desk.
